Newly Ordained Pastor - Luis Espinosa
Luis Espinosa was born in Guantamo, Cuba, to a Christian family. From childhood he was very diligent in his study and investigation of the Bible, and from the beginning, demonstrated leadership abilities as he worked in the local church.
At the age of 19 he entered The Adventist Theological Seminary of Cuba in Habana where he received his Bachelors degree in Pastoral Ministry.
While at the University, his passion for evangelism led him to organize several evangelistic campaigns in different parts of the country, where he did an outstanding work in evangelism and many souls were won to Christ.
In 2002, his family moved to the United States where he continued his work on his Masters degree while he worked fulltime as an associate pastor for several churches in the Miami, FL area, and finally as senior pastor of the new Hispanic church in Frostproof, FL, the first Adventist church in this area. During his ministry in Frostproof, the church experienced significant growth and they were blessed to be able to move into their own church completely debt free by the grace of God.
In 2006, Luis accepted a call to the South Atlantic Conference to pastor the Central and Maranatha Hispanic churches. The Hispanic population in these areas is growing rapidly which presents evangelistic opportunities to the church. One more church was added to his district in 2008, and presently he is in charge of three churches: two in Forest Park, GA and one in Tucker, GA.
Luis is happily married to Daylet Reyes. She has a degree in music with a concentration in piano. Presently she is working on a second degree in the area of Health Information Management.
Recently there has been a new addition to the family; their first son Luis Miguel. Luis and Daylet love the ministry and together they form an excellent team committed to the work of the mission of the church.
