River Oaks Campground
Located at 514 Neeses Highway in Orangeburg, SC, the 107 acre property is home for the South Atlantic Conference campground. River Oaks, the official name was purchased after the South Atlantic was divided and gave birth to the Southeastern Conference in 1980.
The first River Oaks camp meeting was held in June 1984 and tents were used for the various services and housing of attendees.
Today a ___ square foot pavilion with a 4000 seat capacity is used for adult services. Later a youth pavilion was constructed which includes a gymnasium.
The property includes three hotel style buildings with 60 double queen bed rooms and one “flex” building with 20 rooms that house a maximum of seven persons in each room. There is also a cafeteria, Adventist Book Center store, obstacle course, RV pads and plenty of space for Pathfinders to camp out.
The camp ground is managed by Larry Fullard, the camp superintendent, along with his wife, Lori Fullard.
