Shiloh SDA Women’s Ministries under the leadership of Valena Marsh-Ferrier “uncovered” the tough topic of Domestic Violence, during divine worship.  Guest speaker, April Smith, SAC Women’s Ministries Director who spoke on the “Great Cover Up”, sharing reasons victims remain silence and ways the church can be a safety net to victims in need.
The afternoon program featured an impactful skit “Dirty Laundry” led by Darlene Sheardon, who shared the many emotions and trauma women hold in their hearts due to what they experience in their homes as a victim of domestic violence.  The audience engaged in a lively discussion asking questions about resources and steps they can take to ensure their church is a safe place for all.
Attendees left empowered and challenged to identify ways their church can address domestic violence and END IT NOW!
