Dialysis Can Be Life-Changing

On December 17, 2025, Pastor Lovell Spence and members of the Berean SDA Church in Lillington North Carolina visited the Lillington Kidney Center to bring joy and comfort to the dialysis patients during the holiday season. Dialysis can be life-changing. The Berean members donated blankets, socks and gloves to the center to help keep the patients warm during the winter months. The manager and staff were very pleased and thankful to receive these items to keep the patients warm during their treatments. This event opened up opportunities for patients to request prayer or spiritual guidance from Pastor Spence and the Elders.

In addition, the Berean SDA Church had its Community Outreach and Health Fair event on Sabbath November 15, 2025, bringing together healthcare professionals and volunteers to serve members of the surrounding community. A dentist, dental hygienist, and nurses were available at their stations to provide health education and guidance, including blood pressure and blood sugar screenings, as well as dental health information. Attendees were encouraged to ask questions and receive practical advice focused on promoting overall wellness and preventative care in a welcoming and supportive environment. Alongside these services, Pastor Lovell Spence was present and available to speak with any community members who desired spiritual guidance, prayer, or encouragement.

Also, the community members received groceries and a wide variety of clothing, including much-needed winter jackets. The success of this event was made possible through the diligent and dedicated efforts of the Community Services Leader, Sister Paulette Reese, who carefully planned the outreach, ensured key contacts were made, and faithfully followed through on every detail. As a result, the day was truly a blessing, and many attendees expressed sincere appreciation for the care and support received. This event reflected our commitment to serving the community not only through words, but through meaningful actions that meet real needs.

As a church, we remain committed to being a beacon of hope and service. With God’s guidance, we look forward to deepening our presence in the Lillington community and continuing to meet both spiritual and practical needs with love.
